“ Overall good experience. We ordered The Mixed platter with chicken and lamb, the Philly cheese steak, chicken fajita, and fried shrimp. All of the food was good. The shrimp, fries, and breads were crispy, the meat was well seasoned, and the salad on the platter was refreshing. The prices are excellent. We took leftovers home as no one was able to eat it all. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The only issue I had is there is one person running the front counter and assembling the food. We went at lunch time, and it looked like she could really use an extra set of hands! ”

“ First time visiting the U.S., and NYC Halal Eats in Chicago was one of our highlights! The food was absolutely amazing — flavorful, fresh, and generous in portion. One meal was enough for two people to share, and we actually enjoyed it so much we went back for a second round during our trip. Quality and quantity were both spot on. “ Very nice restaurant. Place was clean, as were the bathrooms, and the staff were friendly. Art on the wall was also very cool. However, after we ordered our food, (3 burgers, a chicken platter, and fries), we received it 40 minutes later. Now it might have been a bit busy, but people ordering after us got their meals quicker. They also didn’t mark on the boxes which burger was which. Made it a bit difficult to tell who got what. Food was delicious though. Would recommend. ”

“ Absolutely delicious food and great service! The combo platter with gyro and chicken over rice topped with white sauce was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The crispy fries and fresh, colorful salad were a great addition. The fried fish was crispy outside and tender inside. Loved the refreshing lime drink too! Everything was fresh, hot, and super tasty. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving quality halal food. Will definitely be coming back ”

“ Came in for lunch. I got the must-try- mixed combo. Grilled chicken and lamb over rice, white sauce, a side salad, and fries. I added the hot sauce to it too. It wasn't too bad. I like it. The white sauce was a bit more running than I liked. I would like more meat to match the rice portion. But overall not too bad. The side salad was plain but okay. I would come back ”

“ Tired the chicken platters and fajita, and was great. Very generous portions. Great value for money and good ambiance! Just felt like the fajita bread was too thick. Other than that must try spot !! ”

“ NYC Halal Eats on Devon is definitely worth a try. My friend and I ordered the mixed platter and 12-piece chicken wings (half with buffalo sauce, and the other half with garlic parmesan). The platter was nice and tasted how we expected. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. The sauces on top had a good flavor and the side salad was a nice, refreshing addition to the meal. The only slight critique in our opinion was that the rice had whole spices in it. When served as a fast food/street food kind of meal, it was something I wasn’t expecting. The sauces on the wings were good, but the the wings weren’t crispy at all despite coming out steaming hot and fresh. However, we did get much more than 12 wings. They were very small in size but we got about 14 of each flavor, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very kind and it seemed like they were working pretty fast, but we still got our order about 25 minutes after we paid. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we recommend that you give it a try! We’ll definitely be going back soon. ”
